What does working with Fran look like?

To assure we both get the most out your photo session I want to get to know you. Together we find the theme, location , time of day that speaks to your needs and personality. To create this magic we plan in a 10 minute call where you can tell me your wishes, your dream result and any other ideas you might have.

After our call I will send a summary of our call + pricing + suggestions for dates to your email. When you’re happy with what you’ve read, I will ask you to pay a deposit of 20% to lock in the date of the photoshoot. Exciting!

  • When I spoke Kimmi on the phone a week earlier she told me: ‘’I spend a lot of time in our veggie garden, even at 40 weeks pregnant I was working hard growing veggies’’ and from that moment I knew we needed to capture her in her veggie garden. The abundance of tomatoes, funky yellow cucumbers and corn made a great backdrop for portraits of Kimmi and her team.

  • It’s time for you to relax! We made a plan for the photoshoot and I want you to be your true self. I capture the beautiful moments that happen in front of my eyes. With my relaxed and spontaneous personality I will chat with you and your family and naturally precious moments will unfold.

  • After our call I know I know what it is you want to achieve with your photos and what your vision is.

    It’s time for you to be yourself and for me to be curious. We’ll put on some tunes and I will ask you questions about your business. Naturally curious, I want to know the ins and out and I would love for you to show me everything. Along the way I will take the photos. I will take my time to create detailed photos but also to take portrait photos in an artistic and lifestyle way.

  • Do you have a fashion brand - or have a besproke enquiry - and are you looking for stylish - artistic photography?

    Together we will create a moodboard with the vision of this photo shoot. Who is your audience for this you? Who would be the right model? What location speaks to you? Do we need a larger team?

    Once nutted out we can organise the photoshoot.

    Our little family had the pleasure of being captured by the unbelievably talented Francine.

    We went for a walk in our forest garden, veggie garden, glasshouse and driveway. It was casual, fun and relaxed. Fran asked us to just be us as she chatted and snapped. We absolutely LOVE them and would recommend Fran to anyone wanting professional photos.

    As we had only just launched our fashion brand Davaar & Co, I was on the lookout for a photographer who could capture our seasonal collections for social media, our website and print material. Davaar & Co is a combination of farming and luxury fashion, so I wanted images that reflect Vogue and felt Fran totally understood my vision.

    So far Fran has shot two campaigns for Davaar & Co and we couldn't be more thrilled with the final images. We've had a huge response from our followers and customers saying how stunning Fran's images are and how cleverly she highlights the beauty of the Davaar & Co jumpers.

    It's so much fun working with Fran! She's become such a close friend, is incredibly hard working and totally understands my vision for my brand, which makes my job so easy.

    I had a fabulous experience working with the very talented Francine to capture some special images of me 35 weeks pregnant on the farm with all my animals.

    I am not really that comfortable in front of a camera and am not a fan of images that are too posed, so was hesitant initially to have the shoot done. However as soon as Francine arrived at the farm, she simply asked me questions and we chatted about the farm and animals as I went about handling them, so I felt entirely comfortable and I had a great time!

    Lots of laughs were had and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Francine during the shoot.

    The real delight was when the images arrived. I couldn't understand how she had managed to capture me and animals in such a genuine and magical way, all the animals personalities came through, I looked exactly like myself and every image was absolutely beautiful.

    I cannot recommend Francine enough. I hardly noticed her camera and had a really great time at the shoot. The photographs are one of kind. Francine is a true artist and has an amazing eye for moments and emotion. I'm very glad I now have a selection of incredible images to remember a very special time in my life.

  • The first 15 minutes of a photo session are new. That’s why we don’t jump into taking photos straight away but slowly make our way into it. After 15 minutes you’ll notice you’ll feel more comfortable and with the little tasks I give and with the chats we have you will be in the moment and forget about any awkward feelings.

  • Yes! That’s the beauty of it! I will follow your kids and you in what you find interesting and explore along the way. I interact with the whole crew, especially the little ones, so they will have the best time and will have beautiful memories from this photo session.

  • Depending on your wishes, photoshoots start at 450nzd for a portrait session for 1 person.
